Norah Jones has set a May 1 release date for Little Broken Hearts (Blue Note/EMI), her stunning new album produced by Danger Mouse (aka Brian Burton). Jones has also revealed the album cover and track listing of the 12-song set, which features original songs co-written by Jones and Burton.

Jones drew the inspiration for the album cover from the vintage movie posters that adorn Burton's Los Angeles studio. "Brian has this great collection of Russ Meyer posters in his studio," explains Jones, "and this particular one, called Mudhoney, was right over the couch where I sat every day. I always was looking at it and thinking `that's so cool I want to look like her!' I remember staring at the poster the whole time we made the record. It's a great visual."

Little Broken Hearts is the fascinating next step in the artistic evolution of one of the music world's most consistently intriguing singer-songwriters. Jones first emerged on the world stage 10 years ago this month with the February 2002 release of Come Away With Me, her self-described "moody little record" that introduced a singular new voice and grew into a global phenomenon, sweeping the 2003 Grammy Awards and signaling a paradigm shift away from the prevailing synthetic pop music of the time. Come Away With Me has just become the #10 best-selling album of the Soundscan era. The album has sold 25 million copies worldwide.

Since then, Jones has released three more critically acclaimed and commercially successful solo albums--Feels Like Home (2004), Not Too Late (2007), and The Fall (2009)--as well as two albums with her country collective The Little Willies. The 2010 compilation ...Featuring Norah Jones showed her to possess an incredibly versatile voice by collecting her collaborations with artists as diverse as Willie Nelson, Outkast, Herbie Hancock, and Foo Fighters. Jones previously collaborated with Danger Mouse on his acclaimed 2011 album ROME, a valentine to classic Italian film score music that also featured Jack White.

21 is the eagerly awaited sophomore album from British singer-songwriter Adele. It’s the follow up to Adele’s critically acclaimed, Grammy award winning debut album 19 (both named after her age at the time the songs were written). Recorded in Malibu and London, 21 offered Adele the opportunity to work with such luminary producers and songwriters as Rick Rubin, Paul Epworth, Ryan Tedder, Dan Wilson and Fraser T. Smith, as well as continuing to work with Francis “Eg” White and Jim Abbiss.

This new collection of songs showcases the growth of this incredible artist, who at the very young age of twenty two, exhibits the poise of a seasoned veteran. Adele’s music takes some new direction while staying true to her signature style. “I discovered lots of artists I'd never heard of, particularly Wanda Jackson, Allison Krauss, Yvonne Fair, Andrew Bird, Neko Case, Lady Antebellum and Steel Drivers who I fell in love with. Then I delved in to more from artists I've loved forever - Mary J. Blige, Kanye West, Elbow, Mos Def, Alanis Morissette, Tom Waits and Sinead O'Connor. There's something in every single one of these artists that have really really inspired 21.”

Highlighted on the album are the Broadway-caliber songs written for the series by Tony and Grammy winners Marc Shaiman and Scott Wittman. The "Smash" also includes some of the pop tunes that have been adapted for the show, such as Christina Aguilera's "Beautiful", the show-stopping song that Karen sings so effectively for her audition that she is plucked, literally, from obscurity to audition for the musical s starring role. Locked Down
List Price: $18.98
Amazon Price: $9.98
New Orleans legend Dr. John's Nonesuch debut, produced by Black Keys guitarist and uber-fan Dan Auerbach, distills half a century of this Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee's picaresque musical history, melding his shamanistic stage persona with the authority of a consummate studio musician, the cosmic conjurer with the street-savvy poet. The ten new songs on Locked Down, written by Dr. John with Auerbach and a handpicked crew of backing musicians, combine incantatory chants ("Ellegua") and often politically charged raps ("Revolution") with candid and soulful reflections ("My Children, My Angels"), swaggering R&B ("Big Shot"), and a healthy dose of hypnotic, simmering funk ("The King Of Izness"). As with much of what this multiple Grammy-award winning singer and composer has recorded over the last five decades, the Big Easy is the musical and spiritual jumping-off point, but these new tracks incorporate a world's worth of influences, from gospel and blues to psychedelic rock and Afro-beat.

Auerbach had reached out to the iconic pianist, composer and singer better known to friends and fans as Mac Rebennack in 2010, offering to produce "the best record you've made in a long time." After performing with Rebennack at the 2011 Bonnaroo Music Festival, Auerbach made good on that promise. The instrumental tracks for Locked Down were recorded at Auerbach's new Easy Eye Sound in Nashville and took shape during nine days of intense free-form sessions with the band Auerbach had originally assembled for Bonnaroo. Rebennack later returned on his own, with pages of lyrics, poems and ideas, to complete these songs. As Auerbach recounts, "Watching him come up with parts was just so awesome. Mac is fearless, Like that Farfisa solo on "Revolution" -- that's a first-take solo. He just goes for it, man. And he killed it." Though Rebennack is sought after by countless jazz, R&B and rock artists for his piano playing, Auerbach kept him away from the instrument while encouraging him to experiment with other keyboards. "I wanted to keep him a bit more edgy. I didn't want him to be outright retro in any way. And keeping him off the piano sort of helped. A lot of the music I played for Mac, when I went and visited him before the sessions, really perked up his ears - the really oddball stuff like the Ethiopian funk where the keyboardist is playing a Farfisa, those kind of good weird keyboard sounds."

With Auerbach's help, Rebennack recently featured on HBO's Treme, playing himself is poised to reclaim his position as master of the melting-pot Louisianan music style he pioneered in the late sixties under the guise of Dr. John, the Night Tripper. Funky, mysterious, downright mystical albums like Gris Gris and Babylon deeply influenced such artists as Eric Clapton and the Rolling Stones, who invited Rebennack to play on their infamous Exile On Main Street sessions, and this work has, arguably, altered the course of rock and roll. Auerbach's mission was "to bring back an awareness of him. I don't think he gets enough of the credit he deserves. After meeting him and talking to him and seeing the kind of stuff he was into, I knew that was still there, that person, that fire. He really was spiritual and cosmic but very much into conspiracy theory, politics. He had all the right things in his mind and I just knew I could get him to speak that language again."

Bring It On Home
List Price: $13.99
Amazon Price: $9.13
Bring It On Home is Osborne s first album of hand-picked vintage blues and soul songs, a collection that fans have long been asking for and Osborne herself delighted in making.

The recording sessions were electrifying, as the singer/songwriter tapped into her lifelong love of blues and R&B and unleashed her impassioned vocals.

Drawing from a voice the New York Times called "angelic ecstasy" and "sexual abandon," Joan Osborne created a special collection of some of her favorite classics, a personal tribute to the music she has long loved and drew inspiration from. With vocals that growl and soar, Osborne alternately cries out with heart-wrenching soul and foot-stomping grooves.

She personally selected the obscure gem "Roll Like A Big Wheel" from her own record collection and added rock n roll-fueled urgency to it. She also dug deep into John Mayall s work and came back with "Broken Wings," where her vocal performance draws both goose bumps and tears. The often overlooked Ike Turner-penned "Game of Love" was another treasure Osborne chose to record, and during the sessions an impromptu rendition of "Shake Your Hips" made its way onto the album.

Bring It On Home also includes tracks originally made famous by American blues masters such as Sonny Boy Williamson ("Bring it on Home"), Muddy Waters ("I Want to Be Loved"), as well as recordings originally released by some of the greatest R&B singers ever including Ray Charles ("I Don t Need No Doctor"), Al Green ("Rhymes") and Otis Redding ("Champagne and Wine").

List Price: $15.98
Amazon Price: $8.50
Marking his 17th studio album, 'Wrecking Ball' features 11 new Springsteen recordings and was produced by Ron Aniello with Bruce Springsteen and executive producer Jon Landau.

Said long-time manager Jon Landau,"Bruce has dug down as deep as he can to come up with this vision of modern life. The lyrics tell a story you can't hear anywhere else and the music is his most innovative of recent years. The writing is some of the best of his career and both veteran fans and those who are new to Bruce will find much to love on 'Wrecking Ball."

Landau told Rolling Stone magazine that the record is an ambitious "big-picture piece of work. It's a rock record that combines elements of both Bruce's classic sound and his Seeger Sessions experience, with new textures and styles." Members of the E Street Band play on the album, along with a variety of outside musicians, including Tom Morello. "Bruce and Ron used a wide variety of players to create something that both rocks and is very fresh."

This special edition of 'Wrecking Ball' includes two bonus tracks and exclusive artwork and photography

Recorded at Studio At The Palms in Las Vegas, NV, The Village Recorder in Los Angeles, CA and The Cave in Malibu, CA, Driving Towards The Daylight is a balanced back-to-basics album that highlights Bonamassa s signature style of roots blues with rock-and-roll guts, while honoring the traditions of the original blues musicians. We ve taken some really traditional old blues songs the Howlin Wolf song Who s Been Talkin ? and the Robert Johnson song Stones In My Passway, and we ve tried to imagine how they would do them in a rock context, said Shirley. It s a very exciting return to the blues in a very visceral way. It s vibrant and it s gutsy and it s really, really rugged.

To challenge Joe and move him out of his comfort zone, a unique group of musicians was gathered including Aerosmith guitarist Brad Whitford (guitar), Blondie Chaplan (guitar), Anton Fig (drums and percussion), Arlan Schierbaum (keyboard), Michael Rhodes (bass), Carmine Rojas (bass), Jeff Bova and The Bovaland Brass, Pat Thrall (guitar), and Brad s son Harrison Whitford (guitar).

The album features five Bonamassa-penned originals including the bruising opener Dislocated Boy, the road warrior title track (and first single) Driving Towards The Daylight, I Got All You Need, Heavenly Soul, and Somewhere Trouble Don t Go. Other tracks include Bonamassa s versions of Tom Waits New Coat Of Paint, Lonely Town Lonely Street, by Bill Withers (Lean On Me, Ain t No Sunshine) and A Place In My Heart by Bernie Marsden of White Snake (Here I Go Again). On the album closer, Australian rock singer Jimmy Barnes sings lead vocals on his 1987 hit "Too Much Ain't Enough Love."

Currently available for sale on DVD and Blu-ray and airing on PBS and Palladia HD is the brand new Joe Bonamassa: Beacon Theatre Live From New York, which showcases the stunning sold-out two-night performance at New York City s legendary Beacon Theatre last November. Special guests include Paul Rodgers, John Hiatt and Beth Hart.

Bonamassa s other recent projects include the 2011 CD/DVD Live Over Europe as well as the sophomore album 2 from Black Country Communion, Bonamassa s hard rock band with Glenn Hughes (Deep Purple), Jason Bonham (Led Zeppelin, Foreigner) and Derek Sherinian (Dream Theater, Billy Idol). Featured are versions of tunes from Revelator that are already crowd favorites "Bound For Glory", "Love Has Something Else To Say" some with added details, that takes them a notch higher than the studio originals. Other songs reveal the group's affection for a wide range of soulful forebears, including Stevie Wonder ("Uptight" ), Muddy Waters ("Rollin' And Tumblin'"), Bill Withers ("Kissin' My Love"), Joe Cocker ("Darlin' Be Home Soon"), Bobby Bland ("That Did It"), Harry Nilsson ("Everybody's Talkin'") and the Staple Singers ("Wade In The Water").

Together, the tracks flow one into the next with the collective spirit and lift of a typical TTB concert raising the roof with a Saturday night sense of abandon, and gently concluding with a Sunday morning spiritual.
